Seasonal
Highlights:
-During
the fourth of July, Rebecca House visitors
can sit in the comforts of home from
the front porch and watch fireworks of Ft. Vancouver, which
are considered the largest Fireworks display west of
the Mississippi River and most definitely the largest
display in the NW. It is truly a special time as
the street is closed off and people are everywhere walking
and enjoying
the holiday chatting with one another. It is a
special time at the Rebecca House with barbecuing and
socializing
happening throughout the day.
The
Christmas season is a time of beauty along Bridgeton
Road
..with sailboats and floating homes decorated
with lights that help bring in the holiday cheer.
A five to ten minute drive delivers you to enjoy a pleasant
walk in the Kennedy School neighborhood, where in the
tradition
of the season, you will find the streets closed off
and homes with amazing Holiday lights of extraordinary
splendor.
You can also drive to the Portland International Raceway
next to the EXPO Center and view the Christmas light displays
while you drive around the track with windows
down,
warm
drink
in hand and your kids in the back for another Christmas
delight.
The
beautiful Tulips blooming in the spring are a wonderful
surprise that can make anyone
smile passing by, or while sitting on the front porch of
the Rebecca House. Their range of colors and beauty
are delivered from bulbs
purchased from the finest selection of Oregons Wooden
Shoe Tulip farm south of Portland. The tulip festival is
a must
see
attraction
in March. You will find acres and acres
of lovely blossoms and a wide array of colors. Ask your
innkeeper when booking your reservation
for further information.

Missy, you have created a perfect retreat. Spacious,
warm, charming and better equipped (a computer with internet)
